After a long search, I've found and accepted a good job in the game industry. Starting November 17th, I'll be working as a game designer for High Voltage Software. I'm very happy with this outcome, and I look forward to making games professionally.

This will have some effect on Dawn of Infinity. Namely, it's a full time job, and game developers do tend to work long hours. I've taken on heavy workloads in the past (earning my bachelor's in computer science in a competitive college program was by no means easy), so hopefully I won't be overwhelmed. But it does mean I'll have considerably less free time; free time I could otherwise devote to Dawn of Infinity or other projects.

I'll be around on these forums, Ambrosia's forums, and elsewhere, probably as long as I can. The internet communities I participate in will remain a part of my life. But it's doubtful I'll have the time to do much in the way of development after the 17th.

High Voltage has been around 14+ years, and have made a wide variety of games. One of their current projects is The Conduit, for the Wii. I'm sure I'll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which means I won't be able to share any inside information.
